Not exactly sure what God is doing right now, but trials at work and with my health feel like the waves that were coming against the boat the disciples were in. It’s easy to get my eyes off the Lord and on all the trouble. Yet, the storms can’t rob me of the peace that comes when I seek Jesus, the one who can calm the storms after the testing […] View

      Hi Arlene,

I feel God’s calling on my life is to be a missionary to Japan. Am currently going to Shepherd’s School, but am also seeing God open doors for me to move to Texas for work. The doors for me to stay in Albuquerque seem to be closed.

By moving there, will switch to the online Bible College but will miss out on the discipleship. Am just trusting in the Lord to lead and to guide. This new job looks like it’ll be a leadership position, and will be able to mentor my friend. It sure looks like greater growth will happen by going to Texas than by staying here.

At the same time, by going to Texas it will probably mean I won’t be able to be ordained by Cross Christian Fellowship. So, I’m trusting in the Lord. He knows how to work things out so that I can fulfill His call for my life!

The best thing I can recommend is to trust in the Lord. If the vision was from Him, He is almighty and able to bring it to pass in your life.

      Proverbs 3:6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
      And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

      Philippians 1:6
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ

      Matthew 19:26
But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

It might help to re-listen to William Lane Craig’s teaching on the Doctrine of God part 9 (His omnipotence) in Module 2, Week 5 as well. That was really helpful for me!

      God bless,
      Kevin

      Thought this was interesting!

The Higgs boson makes the universe stable – just. Coincidence?
from The New Scientist, October 26 2016

If the mass-giving particle were much lighter, the cosmos would quickly collapse in on itself. It’s hard to explain how we’re all still here

      Nice explanation Arlene!

As Pastor Scott explained it to me, there must be a first cause. We don’t see something just pop into existence from nothing, despite what auto accident reports might try to say – “But officer, the other car just appeared in front of me from nowhere!”. We don’t have any evidence to say that physical things exist without a cause.

So the universe didn’t just pop into existence from nothing, there was a need the universe to be created by an immaterial being that is outside of space & time, God.

Slight typo – the Newtonian gravitational constant is 6.674×10-11 N*(m/kg)squared. There was an extra 6.

Funny how coincidences work 🙂 Just saw this today – sums up everything pretty nicely.
